Saab, a global defence and security company, will showcase its latest innovations at the Dubai Airshow, taking place from 17 to 21 November at Dubai World Central. The company will present a comprehensive range of systems designed to bolster air power and national security, inviting visitors to explore how its technology contributes to making societies safer.
At stand 945, Saab will highlight its cutting-edge solutions, including the GlobalEye and the Gripen E fighter. These systems are described by Saab as force multipliers that enhance operational air power superiority. The company will also serve as a gold sponsor at the Dubai International Air Chiefs’ Conference, underscoring its commitment to advancing air defence capabilities.
A model of the Gripen E will make its debut at the Dubai stand. Saab emphasizes that the aircraft is engineered to address evolving and advanced future threats, ensuring success and survivability in a dynamic global environment.
GlobalEye, another highlight of Saab’s exhibit, will be presented as the world’s most advanced Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) solution. This strategic national asset, already in service with the UAE Air Force and Air Defence, offers simultaneous air, maritime, and ground surveillance capabilities within a single platform.
Saab will also showcase the Coast Control Radar and DeployNet, both developed in collaboration with the UAE’s Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement. These systems are designed to protect waterways and secure communications for military operations. Visitors can engage with Saab’s experts at the stand to learn more about these innovative solutions.

Additionally, the Giraffe 1X multifunctional radar will be on display, showcasing its capabilities in air surveillance, ground-based air defence, and drone detection. This system is crucial for creating response time during high-speed operational scenarios.
Saab will also present its civil and military digital tower family, including the Deployable Digital Tower. This technology is designed for rapid deployment and can be mission-ready within an hour. It can be controlled remotely from a secure location or a centralised facility, enhancing the safety of deployed personnel.
Other technologies on display include Saab’s Arexis Electronic Warfare system for Gripen E and Eurofighter EK, along with countermeasure systems that detect and counter hostile weapon systems. These innovations reflect Saab’s ongoing commitment to advancing defence and security technologies.
