India’s defence sector has achieved a remarkable milestone with the rapid development of the Zorawar Light Tank, a project that underscores the country’s growing self-reliance in military technology. The Zorawar project, a collaboration between Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Defense and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has drawn attention for its accelerated timeline. Industry sources attribute this success to the experience gained from previous projects, such as L&T’s work on the K-9 Vajra Self-Propelled Howitzer. This knowledge transfer streamlined the design and production process, allowing for a swift turnaround.
