UNMANND Secures $2M for Titan Drones, Fury Interceptors

Bengaluru-based defence technology startup UNMANND has secured $2 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Speciale Invest and Accel, signalling a significant vote of confidence in India’s burgeoning deeptech defence sector. This round, one of the largest early-stage financings in the Indian defence-tech space this year, underscores the growing investor interest in autonomous aerial systems and advanced security solutions.

The funding will fuel UNMANND’s ambitious plans to commercialise its heavy-duty drone platform, Titan, accelerate the development of its anti-drone interceptor system, Fury, and expand its engineering team. Additionally, the capital will support the startup’s exploration of international defence export opportunities, positioning it as a key player in the global defence market.

Founded in February 2025 by Yeshwanth Reddy and Hemaditya Prasad, UNMANND is focused on developing autonomous aerial systems for logistics and security in defence operations. The startup’s flagship product, Titan, has already been qualified by the Indian defence forces, placing it in a strong position to capitalise on upcoming procurement opportunities. Titan’s heavy-lift capabilities make it a game-changer for military logistics, offering a reliable and autonomous solution for transporting supplies in challenging environments.

Complementing Titan is Fury, an advanced drone interceptor system designed to counter emerging aerial threats. Fury can identify hostile UAVs up to 30 km away and deploy interceptors at speeds of 300 km/h, providing a critical layer of defence against unmanned aerial incursions. The system’s precision and range make it a valuable asset for modern defence infrastructure, particularly as drone warfare continues to evolve.

The funding round reflects a broader trend of increasing investment in India’s defence-tech ecosystem. Both venture capital firms and strategic investors are recognising the potential of Indian startups to deliver cutting-edge solutions that address global security challenges. UNMANND’s dual focus on logistics automation and aerial security positions it as a strategic enabler for defence forces worldwide.

As UNMANND continues to refine its technology and expand its capabilities, the startup is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of autonomous defence systems. With a strong foundation in place and a clear vision for growth, UNMANND is set to become a key player in the global defence market, driving innovation and security in an era of rapid technological advancement.
