Danish-Ukrainian Defence Tech Alliance Takes on Russia

A new Danish-Ukrainian defence technology powerhouse has emerged, poised to reshape Europe’s military-industrial landscape and bolster security against Russian aggression. MITS Industries, launched by Ukrainian-American investment group MITS Capital, brings together leading Ukrainian defence firms under a single platform, headquartered in Copenhagen and Kyiv. The venture marks a bold step in consolidating Ukraine’s defence innovation with Danish capital and technology, creating a formidable force in the European defence sector.

“Denmark is an ideal partner for Ukraine,” said Perry Boyle, CEO and Founding Partner of MITS Capital and Chairman of MITS Industries. “The two countries share a common heritage, a common enemy, and common values. The combination of Danish capital and technology with Ukraine’s large and innovative defence industrial base empowers European defence against Russian aggression.”

MITS Industries unites a diverse portfolio of Ukrainian defence technology companies, spanning unmanned ground vehicles, counter-drone systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned surface and underwater vehicles, and signals intelligence and electronic warfare systems. The initial lineup includes Tencore, a leading producer of unmanned ground robots; Infozahyst, a signals intelligence manufacturer with over two decades of experience; Unwave, a major player in electronic warfare systems; and an undisclosed drone manufacturer. With over 1,000 specialists from these firms, MITS Industries is set to become a cornerstone of European defence innovation.

The company will operate on a “drone-as-a-service” model, enabling scalable production of advanced drone and counter-drone solutions across air, land, and maritime domains. This approach is designed not only to enhance operational capabilities but also to expand export opportunities and attract institutional investment. MITS Capital will act as the coordinator, catalyst, and investor, driving the company’s strategic vision.

“This is just the beginning,” said Denys Gurak, CIO and Founding Partner at MITS Capital. “MITS Industries will generate significant capacity scaling and revenue opportunities and will be a platform for additional mergers and tuck-in acquisitions. In just a few years, we intend for MITS Industries to join the ranks of European defence primes.”

The venture’s ambitious growth trajectory is underscored by projections of revenue exceeding $200 million in 2026. With Ukraine’s government estimating domestic defence industry capacity to surpass $35 billion in 2025, MITS Industries is well-positioned to capitalise on this surge in production and export potential.

“MITS Capital is excited to be working with leading Ukrainian defence tech companies and our Danish partners to create something special—a platform for the first Danish-Ukrainian defence prime,” Boyle said. “Our ultimate goal remains unchanged: to help Ukraine win the current war and to help Europe defend itself against the next one.”

MITS Capital, founded in 2024 and based in Kyiv and New York, specialises in Ukrainian defence innovation. Beyond MITS Industries, the firm’s initiatives include the MITS Accelerator in partnership with American University Kyiv, the MITS Lightning Fund, and an investment advisory unit. Ernst & Young has noted that the fund is among the largest international investors in Ukraine’s defence technology sector.

This strategic alliance between Denmark and Ukraine not only strengthens European defence capabilities but also highlights the growing importance of transnational partnerships in addressing modern security challenges. As MITS Industries takes shape, it could set a precedent for future collaborations, reinforcing Europe’s resolve to counter emerging threats and safeguard its sovereignty.
