Milrem Unveils Advanced THeMIS UGVs at DSEI 2025

Milrem Robotics, a global leader in defence robotics and autonomous systems, is set to redefine the battlefield at DSEI 2025 with a new range of advanced THeMIS Combat Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs). The Estonian defence innovator will showcase the platform’s unparalleled versatility, demonstrating its ability to integrate cutting-edge combat systems from some of the world’s top defence technology providers.

At the heart of Milrem’s display will be the THeMIS chassis, now equipped with Moog’s Flexible Mission Platform (FMP™). This configuration, on display in booth N7-140, features representative launchers from Thales and other leading defence suppliers. The FMP™ integration transforms the THeMIS into a modular, adaptable solution capable of executing diverse mission profiles—from precision strikes to layered air defence—while maintaining the platform’s signature mobility and low-profile design.

Another standout system will be Saab’s Mobile Short-Range Air Defence (MSHORAD), mounted on the THeMIS. This integration combines rapid mobility with advanced sensor and effector capabilities, delivering highly responsive air defence against a spectrum of aerial threats in complex operational environments. The MSHORAD’s agility and precision make it a critical asset for modern forces facing evolving battlefield dynamics.

In addition, MARSS will showcase a THeMIS Combat UGV equipped with the EOS R400 Remote Weapon Station. This system enhances firepower and targeting precision, allowing operators to engage threats with speed and accuracy. The integration is further bolstered by MARSS’ NiDAR C2/C4 platform, which leverages AI to optimise situational awareness and decision-making.

“The modern battlefield demands solutions that are not only technologically advanced but also flexible and mission-adaptable,” said Patrick Shepherd, Chief Sales Officer at Milrem Robotics. “By integrating systems from world-class partners onto our THeMIS platform, we deliver combat-ready UGVs that enhance force protection, increase operational reach, and provide our customers with decisive capabilities in rapidly evolving environments.”

Milrem Robotics’ collaboration with industry leaders like Moog, EOS, Thales, Saab, and MARSS underscores its commitment to pushing the boundaries of unmanned combat systems. The new configurations unveiled at DSEI 2025 will highlight how the THeMIS platform can be tailored to meet the demands of modern warfare, ensuring forces remain agile, protected, and capable in an increasingly complex security landscape.

DSEI 2025, taking place in London from September 9 to 12, will bring together global defence and security stakeholders to explore the latest innovations shaping the future battlefield. Milrem Robotics’ presence at the event will not only showcase its technological advancements but also reinforce its position as a key player in the evolution of autonomous defence systems.
