AXISCADES Technologies Limited, a Bengaluru-based chip-to-product company specializing in Defence, Electronics, Semiconductors, and Artificial Intelligence (ESAI) applications, has secured a strategic order to supply Electronic Control Units (ECUs) for the Su-30MKI “Super-30” modernization program. The contract, awarded by the Combat Aircraft System Development and Integration Centre (CASDIC), covers the prototype development of 10 ECU units for the cooling system of the Su-30MKI upgrade. This prototype order is expected to be followed by a production contract of approximately 600 units valued at INR 150 crores over five years.
The Su-30MKI modernization program is a critical initiative led by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Air Force (IAF). The upgrade aims to enhance the aircraft’s operational capabilities, ensuring it remains a formidable asset in India’s defence arsenal. Mistral Solutions, a subsidiary of AXISCADES, will play a pivotal role in this modernization effort by delivering advanced indigenous technologies tailored to meet evolving combat requirements.
“We are proud to be contributing to one of DRDO’s and the IAF’s most significant modernization programs,” said C Manikandan, CEO of Mistral Solutions. “This order demonstrates AXISCADES’ ability to design and deliver advanced indigenous technologies to meet evolving combat requirements.”
The program underscores AXISCADES’ growing role in large-scale defence modernization initiatives. The company’s expertise spans weapon systems, avionics, radar, electronic warfare, drones, anti-drone systems, C4I2, test solutions, and ground support equipment. With a strong track record of delivering end-to-end solutions across the entire product development lifecycle, AXISCADES is well-positioned to capture opportunities in future aircraft and defence technology programs.
This order also aligns with India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, which emphasizes self-reliance in defence manufacturing. By supplying indigenous ECUs, AXISCADES is contributing to the reduction of dependency on foreign technology while bolstering India’s defence capabilities. The contract further enhances AXISCADES’ long-term growth trajectory in the global defence market, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted partner for cutting-edge defence solutions.
AXISCADES operates across 17 global locations, with subsidiaries in France, Germany, Denmark, the USA, and Canada. The company employs over 3,000 professionals and has longstanding partnerships with defence forces, government agencies, public sector undertakings, and global OEMs. As the Su-30MKI modernization program progresses, AXISCADES’ involvement is expected to set a precedent for future collaborations in defence technology, both in India and abroad.
