Paras Defence and Space Technologies Limited has secured a ₹45.32 crore contract from Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a move that underscores India’s growing self-reliance in air defence electronics. The deal, which includes the supply of advanced Signal and Data Processing Systems alongside Multi-Sensor Fusion Systems, is a critical step in enhancing India’s indigenous defence capabilities.
The Signal and Data Processing Systems will play a pivotal role in integrating inputs from multiple sensors, improving detection, tracking, and decision-making in complex air defence scenarios. Meanwhile, the Multi-Sensor Fusion Systems will consolidate data streams from diverse sensor platforms, providing a comprehensive and accurate operational picture to support real-time response actions.
Scheduled for completion within 29 months, this contract reflects the urgency and strategic importance of strengthening India’s defence infrastructure. Paras Defence has confirmed that the transaction adheres to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Listing Regulations and related disclosures, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
Jajvalya Raghavan, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of Paras Defence, emphasised the company’s expanding expertise in defence electronics. “This contract demonstrates our commitment to contributing meaningfully to India’s goal of self-reliance in defence manufacturing under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative,” he said.
