BAE Systems is doubling down on artificial intelligence, securing a strategic partnership with Oxford Dynamics, a deep tech startup specialising in automation and robotics. This collaboration marks a significant step in integrating cutting-edge AI capabilities into the defence sector, with immediate applications in maintaining operational readiness for critical military assets.
The first phase of this partnership will see Oxford Dynamics’ AI technology embedded into BAE Systems’ Prophesea platform. Prophesea is a digital solution designed to optimise the maintenance and operational efficiency of defence assets, including warships, armoured vehicles, and combat aircraft. By leveraging Oxford Dynamics’ expertise in AI-driven data analysis, BAE Systems aims to enhance predictive maintenance, reduce downtime, and improve overall asset performance.

This collaboration aligns with the UK government’s Strategic Defence Review, which emphasises the need to accelerate innovation, deliver sovereign capabilities, and build a more integrated and lethal force.
