Defense Technologies International Corp. (DTII) and its subsidiary, Passive Security Scan Inc. (PSSI), have achieved a significant milestone with the successful completion of rigorous testing for their ZERO-RADIATION ‘Passive Portal’ Security Scan system. The validation, conducted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) National Urban Security Technology Laboratory (NUSTL), positions DTII for accelerated growth and expands the potential applications of its innovative security technology.
The Passive Portal system underwent extensive evaluation as part of the DHS’s System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) program. Over 500 operational scenario scans were conducted, demonstrating the system’s reliability and performance under demanding conditions. This validation marks a critical step forward for DTII, underscoring the effectiveness of its proprietary technology.
The Passive Portal is the only ZERO-RADIATION Walk-Through security scanner of its kind on the market today. Unlike traditional scanning technologies, it offers a groundbreaking alternative that prioritises safety and efficiency. This innovation is particularly relevant in an era where public safety and security are paramount, with applications ranging from schools and public venues to sensitive infrastructure.
With the validation in place, DTII is now engaged in advanced discussions with organisations across multiple sectors and geographies. The company is focused on scaling operations both nationally and internationally, expanding market reach, and continuing to develop cutting-edge solutions for the global security industry.
Eric Forrest, President of Passive Security Scan Inc., expressed optimism about the company’s future: “I am very pleased with the excellent outlook for the short- and long-term future of our Company, supported by the very successful testing by the Department of Homeland Security.”
Merrill W. Moses, President of Defense Technologies International Corp., echoed this sentiment: “I am delighted that the successful week-long testing and assessment of our Passive Portal by the US Government is bringing results and is increasing our Marketing and Sales opportunities. I look to a very successful 2025.”
The successful validation of the Passive Portal system is poised to shape the future of security technology. As DTII and PSSI move forward, their focus on innovation and safety is likely to drive further advancements in the sector, setting new standards for security solutions worldwide. This milestone not only highlights the potential of the Passive Portal but also underscores the importance of continuous innovation in addressing evolving security challenges.
